OUR SERVICES: Inspection - Consolidation - Labelling - Packing - Forwarding - Service Levels

Chartram offers a high level of pre-shipment service at all times. All goods entering our warehouse are check-weighed on receipt. We will report to you by email the order number; number of packages and their gross weight. You will be notified of any damage or shortages immediately.

Beyond this standard, we can then provide pre-shipment preparation of your freight to suit your requirements and budget:

GOLD SERVICE - you can be 100% sure that your goods meet your exact specification and that they will be packed securely to incur minimum freight charges.

Under this option, goods will be fully inspected to check product description, quantity and condition
Each Item will be Tagged to your instructions
When complete, the order will be packed to the smallest possible cube, whilst ensuring the goods are secure in transit
Packing will be on pallets (included in price), or in pallet boxes or ply/timber cases (at extra cost), protected with heatshrink film
£15.00 per cubic metre, charged on final packed cube. Minimum £15.00

SILVER SERVICE - some freight may not require such detailed preparation. At this level the goods will not be inspected or tagged.

We will report any damaged items
The order will be packed to the smallest possible cube, whilst ensuring the goods are secure in transit
The freight will be palletised, if necessary, and protected with stretchwrap
£7.50 per cubic metre, charged on final packed cube. Minimum £7.50

BRONZE SERVICE - your goods will be shipped as they arrive in our warehouse.

We will notify you if the outer packing is damaged, to offer re-packing if required
Freight will not be re-packed to improve security or reduce cube
For example, if we receive 10 boxes, we will ship 10 boxes
FREE OF CHARGE, as part of our forwarding function
